Tuesday REC Leagues

The ARHL Tuesday Rec Leagues contain an A league and a B league.

Tuesday A: The A League is our top league that is geared towards experienced players and is the equivalent to an A or B level ice league. This league is best for players who have played some level of competitive hockey before. Most players have played for 15+ years with a small portion playing at a collegiate level.

Tuesday B: The B League is for intermediate players and is the equivalent of a C level ice league. This league is best for players who have some hockey experience but might not be ready for the more competitive play in the A League. The skill level in this league is comparable to our Super Sunday league.

Games

There are 10 games in a season plus playoffs. Teams typically play one game per night, but byes and doubleheaders may occur as needed based on scheduling requirements.

League Format

Games are played Tuesday nights, with start times from 6:30 PM to 10:40 PM.

Games are 50 minutes, consisting of three running-clock 12 minute periods and a three minute running-clock overtime if necessary. Penalties are 90 seconds stop-time.

Location

Games are held at Raue Pond, located behind Francis C. Hammond Middle School in Alexandria, VA (red marker on the map, accessed from the parking lot behind the school via N Pegram St).
